The evergreen leaves of Babies Breath are egg shaped with a tiny yellow line that encircles each medium-green leaf leading to it's alternate name" Yellow Rim" shrub. Babies Breath is also called Yellow Rim Shrub, Snowrose and Tree-of-a-Thousand-Stars and is widely cultivated in Southern garden landscapes. Babies Breath is cold hardy to buy and plant in Zone 7 through 10. The dainty, miniature, double white flowers of Babies Breath plants begin flowering in late April, following Bridal Wreath sprays that flourish in March and April. This miniature form of Bridal Wreath is densely covered with clusters of round, white, double flowers very similar in appearance to miniature gardenia flowers.
