Northern James Pecan Tree

The cold hardy Northern James pecan tree is an excellent grafted tree selection that produces thin-shelled pecans, leading to medium size product (90 nuts per pound) with an oily, crunchy kernel that is enriched with a sweet aromatic substance, perfect for fresh eating, or to place into a newly baked pecan pie or for roasting into a tasty crispiness for eating later. The Northern James pecan tree has been documented to grow in below zero temperatures of New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania, and a 6 foot tall tree often produces a few nuts the first year of planting.

Delivery Time: Pecan Trees ordered during their current shipping season (usually December through April) are shipped dormant within ten days of the date of order, weather dependent. The actual delivery time will usually be within four to seven days following the date of shipping by Ty Ty Plant Nursery. Delivery time can not be guaranteed, if a package needs to arrive prior to a specific date please note in the comment section of the order or contact Ty Ty Nursery by telephone during normal business hours.

Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.

*1 Year Free Plantsurance Policy is void on any shipment outside of recommended USDA zones, or authorized to ship by the customer during below freezing temperatures.

Pruning Information:Pruning may be required on Pecan Trees so as to comport with UPS shipping requirements. For this reason, the pecan tree(s) you receive may not be the actual height you ordered due to it being pruned up to one third of the total size immediately prior to shipping unless you have made prior arrangements with us to ship the product to you by motor freight. Although you should receive the size ordered if shipped by motor freight, note that shipping motor freight will likely increase your shipping costs.
