The bearing size of a Ukrainian Walnut Tree is about four years old in age. The Ukrainian Walnut trees are extremely cold hardy and grow vigorously in zones 4 to 9. At harvest time the shuck that covers the Ukrainian Walnut falls freely from the inner nutshell, making it much easier to shell. The shells of the Ukrainian Walnuts are relatively thin, and the nuts are delicious with a distinctive flavor full of oily crunchy flavorful kernels. The developing nuts of the Ukrainian Walnut Tree are formed from tiny, insignificant looking green flowers, male and female, that are wind self-pollinated. The Ukrainian Walnut Trees prefer a soil pH that is less acid than most other nut trees that thrive in a pH of 6 to 8. The Ukraine countryside is the home to a very cold hardy walnut tree that was found growing in the Carpathian Mountains where the walnuts were collected.

Although you should receive the size ordered if shipped by motor freight, note that shipping by motor freight will likely increase your shipping costs.
Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.
*1 Year Free Plantsurance Policy is void on any shipment outside of recommended USDA zones, or authorized to ship by the customer during below freezing temperatures.
If plants are listed by gallon size the plant will be removed from container and have the majority of the dirt removed to allow for the best shipping.
