Chinquapin Oak

The leaves of the Chinquapin Oak Tree, Quercus muehlenbergii, lack bristle tips, and the acorns mature in a single season, and the grows straight up to 60 ft. tall, and 1-2 ft. wide. The leaves of the Chinquapin Oak Tree lack bristle tips, and the acorns mature in a single season. The Chinquapin Oak Tree is a medium sized tree in the white oak group, and the bark is gray-brown and scaly and quite distinct in the landscape. The coarsely toothed leaves of the Chinquapin Oak Tree are yellowish-green in the Summer and turn yellow-brown or red in the Fall.The Chinquapin Oak can grow to a height of 50-60 feet tall and has beautiful medium green leaves that are eaten by deer. The Chinquapin Oak Tree provides excellent shade for recreational areas, and the tree blooms late in the Spring months. The tree provides acorns and shelter for wildlife throughout harsh winter months. The coarsely toothed leaves of the Chinquapin Oak are yellowish-green in the Summer and turn yellow-brown or red in the Fall.

Delivery Time: Nut Trees ordered during their current shipping season (usually December through April) are shipped dormant within ten days of the date of order, weather dependent. The actual delivery time will usually be within four to seven days following the date of shipping by Ty Ty Plant Nursery. Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.

If plants are listed by gallon size the plant will be removed from container and have the majority of the dirt removed to allow for the best shipping.
