Clusters of shiny, dark green leaves rise from underground rhizomes. The Cast Iron Plant is often used to cut the wide iridescent leaves for floral arrangements as a filler or background plant. The Cast Iron Plant grows well along shaded walkways and sparkles underneath dense shade trees with low light availability such as oaks, where most plants fail to grow.
• The Cast Iron Plant also grows well as a pot plant in low light areas to about 2 ft in height. Aspidistra works well when planted near to stone, stucco, or old brick and is especially noticeable when used in connection with cast iron. Buy your Cast Iron Plant from Ty Ty Nursery today.
