White Romulus Seedless grapevines are extremely cold hardy, they survive temperatures below zero and ripen late in September to October in the season and are grown best in zones 2-5 to -15 degrees F. The Romulus grape develops a sweet flavor and ripens with a noticeable labrusca character and wonderful aroma. The excellent quality of the Romulus seedless grape holds up well in cold storage and is a popular grocery store grape in the early fall marketing scheme. The Romulus grapevine resulted from a hybrid cross between the Ontario and Thompson White seedless grape, but the Romulus is more cold hardy than either parent.
