The Royal Star Magnolia tree is one of the most cold hardy flowering magnolia trees, and is an excellent selection for using in the Northern States that is hardly ever damaged by cold weather. The multi-stems of the Royal Star magnolias grow branches near the ground, and in the Spring the flowering covers the entire body of the plant. The Royal Star magnolia can grow into a small tree or a spreading bush, depending on the pruning, with 15 feet tall and 15 feet wide developing into a rounded form. As an accent plant the Royal Star magnolia plant is a perfect choice, and the multi-petal flowers have a slight pink tinge as they mature into a pure white.
